Due to Governor Whitmer's stay-at-home order, Isabella County has currently suspended curbside recycling collection.
In October of 2006, the Village of Lake Isabella began a bi-weekly curbside recycling program with the Isabella County Recycling Center. The Village's participation in this program was done in an effort to save our residents money in handling their solid waste needs.
Not only is this program beneficial to the residents of the Village, but it also helps promote a cleaner community that we all can enjoy. For this service, each household is charged $15 a year. That equals $1.25 a month, or a mere 4 cents a day.
For details on the specific items that can be recycled in this program, and how to prepare them for collection, please view our on-line recycling guides.
Please have your recycling container at the roadside by 6 AM.
The Village's DPW accepts brush from residents at a cost of $4 per load. Bagged yard waste is accepted as space allows. Yard waste must be in paper bags, plastic is not accepted. Grass clippings are also not accepted. The DPW gate is opened by appointment. The graphic below illustrates the policies currently in place for the facility.
